Water Purification System for Local Production Which Offers Sustainable Economic
Stimulus
Illinois Institute of Technology students will design a novel water purification system using clays to reduce bacterial and other pollutants such as hardness, arsenic, and nitrates in drinking water. The final product will be assembled from local materials by local potters in Mexico, thereby generating income in the community.
