Title: Solar Pasteurizer with Integral Heat Exchanger for Treating
Water in Rural Areas
Rochester Institute of Technology students will design, build, and test a novel solar device to treat water in remote rural areas without electrical power. By using solar energy, the team will kill protozoa, bacteria, and viruses at temperatures below the boiling point using solar pasteurization.
