Title:Sustainability of Chadron Creek Watershed
Chadron State College students will develop and implement a sustainability model to revitalize the Chadron Creek watershed, which has been degraded by ash runoff from recent forest fires as well as intensive grazing. Students will bring together landowners, local government, economic, and non-governmental organizations to develop a comprehensive restoration and protection plan. They will be working to generalize their model so that the lessons they learn can be applied to watersheds in other areas.
