Title: Small-Scale Fuel Alcohol Production to Meet University Vehicle Fuel Needs and Promote Regional Sustainable Development
Iowa State University students as well as students from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) in Brazil will create small-scale ethanol production and distribution systems. The project will design and build inexpensive systems for the creation of ethanol with materials provided by local farmers. The project aims to stimulate regional development through the creation of jobs and the use of local agricultural products.
