Title: Developing a Small Business in Response to a Stormwater Utility for New Jersey
Rutgers University students will develop a business plan for a potential consulting company to a wastewater treatment facility. Stormwater utilities generally involve the creation of a user-based fee that can generate funds for upgrades and the implementation of best management practices (BMPs). This creates a market for a small business to consult the facility. The group will determine the most effective way to implement BMPs and to generate user fees and will develop a business model based around their conclusions.
