Title: Closing the Carbon Loop: Growing Algae Using Sustainable CO2 from Bio-waste
Appalachian State University students are designing and building a sustainable algaculture facility for producing biofuels. They are building an algae photobioreactor, growing algae in a solar greenhouse, using a digester for diverting bio-waste from the landfill to produce methane, and recovering the CO2 to divert it to the algae.
