Title: An Innovative Design for Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Animal Wastes for Sustainable Development in Rural Communities
University of Tennessee - Knoxville students are investigating the possibility of increasing the biogas yield and economic feasibility of anaerobic co-digestion for dairy wastewater and poultry liter, two important sources of greenhouse gas emission and water pollution. The goal is to expand on an innovative method for taking wastewater and manure, and converting it into a biogas that reduces greenhouse emissions.
