Title: Nitrogen-Selective Membrane for Carbon Capture
A team of students at Stanford University will reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), from the post-combustion flue gas stream in coal power plants by introducing a new filtration method on the smoke stack. The proposed method will incorporate a dense membrane that separates carbon dioxide from nitrogen, making both gasses easier to process, and prevent from emitting into the atmosphere.
