Jingrang Lu
Title: Biologist
EPA Division: Microbiological and Chemical Exposure Assessment Research Division
EPA Branch: Biohazard Assessment Research Branch
Narrative:
Jingrang Lu’s research has aimed at characterization of microbial community, and development of pathogenic bacterial detection methods and microbial source tracking methods in aquatic systems. More recently, he has focused on transcriptomic responses of pathogenic organisms, especially Legionella and amoebae, on disinfectants in drinking water systems. His research goal is to develop risk-based management decision-making tools in drinking water systems using transcriptomic analysis system of Legionella-amoebae for monitoring and risk assessment.
