Two NHEERL Researchers To Participate in EUROTOX 2009
Yue Ge, NHEERL Integrated Systems Toxicology Division Carcinogenesis Branch, and Ian Gilmour, NHEERL Environmental Public Health Division Cardiopulmonary and Immunotoxicology Branch, will be active participants in the 46th Congress of the European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX 2009) to be held September 13-16, 2009, in Dresden, Germany. This meeting, which will be attended by thousands of scientists worldwide and is sponsored by the German Society of Toxicology, is one of the largest European toxicology events focusing on expertise, qualification, innovation, and education. At this meeting delegates will network with experts, colleagues, potential business partners, and clients.
Dr. Ge is an invited speaker who will be giving a state-of-the-art lecture entitled "Using Omics To Develop New Strategies for Chemical Toxicity Testing," in which he will be presenting data from recent studies on proteomic analysis of animal tissues and human cells treated with environmental chemicals that are of interest to EPA and other environmental organizations. Also, Dr. Ge will present a symposium on "Omics: Value and Application for Research and Regulatory Toxicologists." Dr. Gilmour will present an invited plenary lecture entitled "The Influence of Air Pollution on Allergic Sensitization in the Lung."
