ISTD Researcher To Lecture in Italy
David DeMarini, a genetic toxicologist with NHEERL’s Integrated Systems Toxicology Division (ISTD) Genetic and Cellular Toxicology Branch in Research Triangle Park, NC, will lecture twice in Italy in late September 2011. He first will speak on “Genotoxicity of Swimming Pool Water and Carcinogenicity of Drinking Water” at the University of Pisa’s Department of Biology. Dr. DeMarini then will travel to Parma to the 19th annual Società Italiana di Mutagenesi Ambientale (SIMA) meeting. There, he will give the plenary lecture entitled “40 Years of the Salmonella Mutagenicity Assay, What It Tells Us for 21st Century Toxicology” and otherwise participate in the 3-day conference.
