MED To Host Delegation from Chinese Research Academy
Delegates from the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) will visit NHEERL’s Mid-Continent Ecology Division (MED) on June 21 and 22, 2012. The visit is being coordinated with a similar event at the National Risk Management Research Laboratory in Cincinnati earlier that week. Dr. Meng Wei, President of CRAES, will be accompanied by Dr. Zhou Yun, Dr. Zhang Yuan, Dr. Wu Xuefang, Dr. Wu Fengchang, and Dr. Liu Zhengtao, directors of various institutes within CRAES. The purpose of this visit to MED is to exchange information on research interests in the areas of aquatic toxicity test methods for chemicals of emerging concern, adverse outcome pathways applications, and prioritization of chemicals in risk assessment. The delegation also will visit MED’s aquatic culture and husbandry facility and ecotoxicology exposure facilities.
