MED Researcher Receives IAGLR Editor’s Award
Michael Sierszen, a research ecologist at NHEERL’s Mid-Continent Ecology Division (MED) in Duluth, MN, is the 2012 recipient of the Editor’s Award from the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR). The association publishes the Journal of Great Lakes Research, a multidisciplinary journal covering a wide range of theoretical and applied research on the large (>500 km2) lakes of the world and their watersheds. Each year, IAGLR presents its Editor’s Award to a member of its Editorial Board in recognition of the crucial role played by peer review in assuring the journal’s quality. This year, the award was presented to Dr. Sierszen on May 15 at the IAGLR Annual Meeting in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, for his outstanding support of the journal’s review process.
