Risk Assessment Forum Technical Panel To Hold Workshop in RTP
The Risk Assessment Forum’s Technical Panel of Cumulative Risk will hold a workshop entitled “Methods To Integrate Chemical and Nonchemical Stressors in Cumulative Risk Assessment (CRA): Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)” in Research Triangle Park, NC, on November 26 and 27, 2012. The purposes of the workshop are to (1) identify and evaluate methods for integrating chemical and nonchemical stressors that could be incorporated into EPA’s CRA guidelines; (2) focus on human health and methods for stressor identification and causal analysis; and (3) use a specific disease endpoint (i.e., CVD) to identify relevant stressors and illustrate methods and discuss their utility, while integrating the disparate views of medical sciences, epidemiology, ecology, spatial analysis, chemical mixtures, and toxicology. National experts will present their views and serve on discussion panels at the workshop. EPA participants will include Ed Ohanian, Glenn Paulson, Lucas Neas, Tom Luben, Laura Jackson, Glenn Rice, and Linda Teuschler.
