NHEERL Director Announces New Associate Director for Health
Dear NHEERL Staff,
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Ronald N. Hines has officially joined EPA as NHEERL’s Associate Director for Health (ADH). Dr. Hines comes to us from the University of Wisconsin, where he was Professor of Pediatrics and Pharmacology/Toxicology; Associate Director of the Children’s Research Institute; and Co-Chief of the Section of Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacogenetics, and Teratology.
As Ron comes up to speed, he will seek to become more familiar with our science; projects; functions; and, most importantly, our people.
Again, I would like to thank and recognize Bob Devlin and John Rogers for their excellent leadership in handling the responsibilities of the ADH during this transition period.
I believe that Dr. Hines will bring outstanding scientific credentials and leadership experience to the ADH position that will contribute greatly to the missions of NHEERL, ORD, and the Agency. I am sure that he will be able to count on your support as he assumes the ADH responsibilities.
Best wishes for a rewarding New Year.
