National Information Management and Site Support Staff

The Director, National Information Management and Site Support Staff reports to the Deputy Director for Management and is responsible for Laboratory IT support and local site support. The staff is composed of two teams.

The Information Technology Team is responsible for IT oversight and support. Nationally, the Team provides oversight and coordination for Laboratory Divisions and coordinates all interactions with EPA Headquarters, assisting in establishing policies for the Laboratory in the areas of hardware, software, video conferencing, and other emerging technologies.

The Site Support Team provides support for several aspects of the Research Triangle Park research facility and its programs. These support activities include operation of a scientific model shop that designs, constructs, modifies, and repairs complex and often state-of-the-art scientific instruments. In addition, the Team manages a site-specific support contract for gas cylinders to provide specialty gases used in conducting research.
