Title: Cost Engineering Support for EPA's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER)

Description:

The objective of this effort is to support OSWER's efforts by providing cost engineering expertise in various technical areas as requested and by providing input to EPA-OSWER/U.S. Army Corps of Engineers development of "A Guide to Developing and Documenting Remedy Cost Estimates During the Feasibility Study."  This document is intended to update and replace the original 1987 guidance document which is the mandatory standard for developing Superfund cost estimates during the Feasibility Study phase of Superfund remediation projects.

Continuing participation in the federal inter-agency review of the RACER (Remedial Action Cost Engineering and Requirements) System. The system is to be used by personnel responsible for developing independent government estimates and/or out-year budgets of cleanup costs. Other participants include EPA-OSWER, DOE, USAF, USN, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
