EPA's Electricity Consumption Offset by Green Power
This bar chart shows the amount of EPA’s electricity consumption that was offset by the Agency’s purchases of green power in total megawatt hours per year for EPA's Agencywide portfolio of facilities. EPA has offset 100 percent of its electricity use with green power or renewable energy certificates (RECs) since fiscal year (FY) 2006.
1 EPA’s Agencywide electricity consumption declined from FY 2007 to FY 2009 due to broad energy efficiency improvements across the Agency's inventory of facilities.
