There are a few counties that are split between one or more 8-hour ozone nonattainment areas:

  • Solano Co, CA split between San Francisco and Sacramento.
    Both parts make a whole county.
  • Los Angeles Co, CA split between South Coast and Antelope Valley-Western Mojave
    Both parts make a whole county.
  • Riverside Co, CA split between South Coast and Coachella Valley
    The eastern desert portion of the county is attainment
  • Kern Co, CA split between San Joaquin and Eastern Kern Co
    The northeastern portion of the county is attainment
  • Sutter Co, CA split between Sutter Co (Sutter Buttes) and Sacramento
