National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT) in 1988 to provide independent advice to the EPA Administrator on a broad range of environmental policy, technology and management issues.

Council members serve as representatives from academia, business and industry, community and environmental advocacy groups, environmental justice organizations, professional organizations, and state, local, and tribal governments.


Request for NACEPT Nominations (November 29, 2011)

EPA is inviting nominations from a diverse range of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment to NACEPT. We are asking for nominations to be submitted by December 9. Vacancies are anticipated to be filled by February 2012.
