SmartWay Logo Use Guidelines
SmartWay partners that demonstrate superior environmental performance for fleet operations are eligible to advertise their participation and status in the SmartWay Transport Partnership using the SmartWay Transport Partner logo.

Using the SmartWay Partner Logo
Use of the SmartWay partner logo for those eligible partners that requested and received the digital logo files under the previous SmartWay ranking system (i.e. SIF scores) is permitted until the new partner logo criteria are announced.
The SmartWay Transport Partner logo may be featured on your marketing (e.g. brochures, posters, letterhead, etc.), advertising materials and website.
Use of the SmartWay Designated logo on equipment/vehicles requires permission via a separate process, as defined by the SmartWay Technology Program. Learn more about using the SmartWay Designated logo on your tractors or trailers.
Specifications for Use of SmartWay Partner Logo
The SmartWay partner logo graphic may only be used by qualifying SmartWay partners after obtaining written EPA approval. Recently, SmartWay rolled out a new suite of partner tools. In 2012, EPA will publish new SmartWay partner logo eligibility criteria and looks forward to releasing the SmartWay partner logo to eligible partners at that time.
Notification to all partners regarding the new partner logo criteria will occur via the SmartWay website, partner listserv, and email.
Affiliates: Using the SmartWay Affiliate Logo
Participating SmartWay Affiliates are encouraged to promote the goals of SmartWay through education and marketing of tools, technologies, strategies and policies promoted by the SmartWay Transport Partnership. Use of the SmartWay brand logo is limited to non-profit Affiliates.
Review the SmartWay Graphics Standards and Usage Guide (PDF) (33 pp, 412K), then complete and sign the Logo Use Signature Page. The signature of your organization’s designated official means that your organization understands and agrees to adhere to the SmartWay Logo Use guidelines. Upon receipt of your signed and completed Logo Use Signature Form and following a brief review, the official SmartWay brand logo files will be sent to you for promotional purposes.
Specifications for Use of SmartWay Affiliate Logo
Non-profit Affiliates may use the SmartWay Transport logo for promotional and educational purposes.
Manufacturers of SmartWay Verified Technologies are prohibited from using the SmartWay logo. Manufacturers of SmartWay Verified Technologies provide technologies that assist our Partners with meeting their goals and thus indirectly contribute to SmartWay program goals. However, use of the SmartWay logo could potentially confuse the public about the SmartWay brand, and could imply an improper endorsement by EPA of the product.
