Urban Waters Federal Partnership Launches Ambassadors Program
-- The Urban Waters Federal Partnership, made up of 11 federal agencies, announced a program in seven cities that will accelerate and coordinate on-the-ground projects that are critical to improving water quality and public health, restoring forest resources and fostering community stewardship in urban watersheds. Sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Urban Waters Ambassadors program will work with state and local governments, non-governmental organizations and other local partners.

New Way To Search Pesticide Active Ingredients
-- In support of two of the major components of the President’s Open Government Initiative, the EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs has released a new web application called Pesticide Chemical Search. Chemical Search is a "one-stop" gateway to EPA information and other federal agency resources on the active ingredients used in pesticide products. Chemical Search is an intuitive web application that gives the regulated community, scientists, and interested stakeholders increased access to the regulatory and scientific “story” behind pesticide active ingredients. In addition, Chemical Search provides easy access to the hundreds of public comment periods that EPA offers each year related to pesticides.
