Pesticide News Story: PRIA Revised Fee Schedule for Registration Applications Effective October 1, 2010
For Release: August 11, 2010
In accordance with section 33 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), published a revised list of pesticide registration service fees applicable to specified pesticide registration applications and tolerance actions. The new fees become effective on October 1, 2010. Registration service fees for applications received on or after October 1, 2010, increase by 5% (rounding up to the nearest dollar) from the fees published for fiscal year 2009 and 2010. The review times, or the amount of time that the Agency has to make a decision on an application, will be the same as FY 2010.
On October 9, 2007, the Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act (PRIA 2) was signed by the President, revising, among other things, section 33 of FIFRA. This law reauthorized the service fee system through 2012 and established fees and review times for applications received during fiscal years 2008 through 2012.
