Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) for modified Komagataella pastoris from ICx Agentase, J-11-0002
On January 26, 2011, the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) received a Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) from ICx Agentase, submitted under the biotechnology regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances Control Act (62 FR 17910 (April 11, 1997); codified at 40 C.F.R. Part 725). The MCAN was given the EPA tracking designation J-11-0002. The recipient microorganism is a Komagataella pastoris is derived from wildtype P. pastors strain NRRL-Y 11430. The name for the new production organism is Komagataella pastoris. This microorganism will be used as a fermentation production organism for the manufacturing of the cholinesterase enzyme.
