Innovative Green Chemistry Technologies
Deserving National Recognition
Have you?
- Developed a chemical synthesis that does not use or generate
hazardous materials? - Designed a safer chemical?
- Eliminated a hazardous solvent from a chemical reaction?
- Created a new green chemistry technology?
If so . . .
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its partners would like to recognize your achievements. Green chemistry is the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. Since its inception in 1991, EPA’s Green Chemistry Program has supported the creation of “green” chemicals and chemical processes through education and incentives, including its prestigious Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards. We invite you to participate in the Challenge.
Now Is the Time to Nominate Your Technology for an Award
The process is easy — you simply describe your innovation. A lengthy scientific paper is not necessary; in fact, page length is limited. The deadline for nominations is December 31; to be eligible, nominations must be sent by that date.
Winners Are Announced Each Year in June
EPA and its partners will present awards in five categories at a ceremony in Washington, DC. EPA, the American Chemical Society and others publicize the winning technologies.
