Triggered Glove Testing


[The following language is intended for inclusion only in those
cases in which TRIGGERED glove impermeability testing is required]

[(a) During manufacturing, processing, and use of the PMN substance
at any site controlled by the Company, the Company must establish
a program whereby...]

     (3) The Company is able to demonstrate that each item of
chemical protective clothing selected, including gloves, provides
an impervious barrier to prevent dermal exposure during normal and
expected duration and conditions of exposure within the work area
by any one or a combination of the methods described in
subparagraphs (a)(3)(i) and (ii) below.  However, for purposes of
determining the imperviousness of gloves, once the Company has
manufactured or imported a total of ____________  kilograms of the
PMN substance, the Company is required to use the method described
in subparagraph (a)(e)(i) and not in subparagraph (a)(e)(ii).

     (i) Testing.  The material used to make the chemical
protective clothing and the construction of the chemical protective
clothing may be tested to establish that the protective clothing
will be impervious for the expected duration and conditions of

     (ii)  Evaluation of Specifications.  The Company may evaluate
the specifications from the manufacturer or supplier of the
chemical protective clothing, or of the material used in
construction of the clothing, to establish that the chemical
protective clothing will be impervious to the PMN substance alone
and in likely combination with other chemical substances in the
work area.
