Marine Remanufacture Kits

EPA maintains a list of remanufacture systems, or "kits", certified for use with marine diesel engines according to the provisions of 40 CFR Part 1042, Subpart I. Download the list:

The above Remanufacture Kit List file on this web page is periodically updated. To have the latest version automatically sent to you join the Marine Remanufacture Kit electronic mailing list (named "marine_reman"). The most current Remanufacture Kit List file is sent to the members of the electronic list as often as once per week depending on the rate of kit certification.

Descriptions of the four file types to download on this page

Engine certification data are available in the following electronic file formats

Model Year 2003 and Later Format

To obtain the FileMaker Pro and Excel formats for a particular model year, download the file with the *.zip extension.

******YY.zip - This file contains a FileMaker Pro file and an Excel file that is identical to the information that is available to the public.
Note: The asterisks identify the industry. The double Y's represent the model year.

Model Year 2002 and Earlier Format

To obtain the FileMaker Pro format for a particular model year, download the file with the *.zip extension.
To obtain the Lotus format for a particular model year, download the three files with the *.wk1 extension. The four different files that you may need to download for engine certification information are:

  1. ******YY.zip - This file is a FileMaker Pro file that is identical to the information that is available to the public.
    Note: The asterisks identify the industry. The double Y's represent the model year.

    The next three files are in Lotus format and contain the same information as in the Zip file above.

  2. ***genYY.wk1 - This file is a Lotus Spreadsheet file that contains general information about engine families.
    Note: This information can be found in the family, test, and AB&T forms (if applicable.)
  3. ***modYY.wk1 - This file is a Lotus Spreadsheet file that contains engine model information.
    Note: This information can be found in the model summary form.
  4. ***prtYY.wk1 - This file is a Lotus spreadsheet file that contains part number information.
    Note: This information can be found in the part number summary form.
