Chemical Safety for Substainability Subcommittee
This subcommittee will be providing advice and recommendations on ORD's Chemical Safety for Sustainability Research Program. This subcommitee is currently being formed. EPA's BOSC Staff Office is seeking nominations of nationally and internationally recognized scientists, engineers, and social scientists to serve as Special Government Employees on this subcommittee. Any interested person or organization may nominate qualified individuals or themselves by using the membership nomination form and will be considered for membership vacancies.
Expertise needed for this subcommittee include:
• Biology (endocrinology/endocrine disruptors, molecular biology,
pharmakonetics, systems biology)
• Chemistry (environmental chemistry, green chemistry)
• Ecology (system ecology)
• Information Science (uncertainty analysis)
• Nanotechnology
• Public Health (children’s health, environmental health,
molecular epidemiology, exposure science – assessment/predictive)
• Risk Assessment (cumulative risk assessment, ecological risk assessment,
human health risk assessment, mixtures risk assessment)
• Sustainability (life cycle analysis)
• Toxicology (computational toxicology – computational biology/genomics/proteomics/metabonomics/
computational chemistry/high throughput bioassays/informatics/bioinformatics,
ecotoxicology, developmental/reproductive toxicology)
• Decision Science (decision analysis/value of information/decision
support system)
