Safe and Sustainable Water Resources Subcommittee

This subcommittee will be providing advice and recommendations on ORD's Safe and Sustainable Water Resources Research Program. This subcommitee is currently being formed. EPA's BOSC Staff Office is seeking nominations of nationally and internationally recognized scientists, engineers, and social scientists to serve as Special Government Employees on this subcommittee. Any interested person or organization may nominate qualified individuals or themselves by using the membership nomination form and will be considered for membership vacancies.

Expertise needed for this subcommittee include:

• Biology (microbiology)

• Chemistry (environmental chemistry, water chemistry)

• Climate Change (variability)

• Ecology (aquatic ecology – freshwater/wetland, hydrology/hydraulics, water resources, system ecology)

• Engineering (civil engineering – drinking water treatment/distribution, storm water treatment, waste water treatment, storm and waste water infrastructure)

• Risk Assessment (ecological risk assessment, human health risk assessment)

• Sustainability (energy and water relationship)

• Toxicology (ecotoxicology)

• Social Science (ecological economics/environmental economics/natural resource economics)
