Established in 1991, Howe Freightways is a flatbed carrier servicing the Midwest region. The company has 19 company tractors and more than 20 owner-operators under lease.

Howe Freightways continues to look for ways to improve the environmental performance of its fleet. To reduce idling, the company is installing battery-powered heating and cooling units in all of its company tractors. The company is also using automatic tire inflation systems on its trailers and is testing single-wide tires.
