Langford Inc. is a for-hire long-haul carrier servicing 48 states, Ontario
and Quebec, Canada, that specializes in multi-stop deliveries of customized
building components.
Auxiliary power units (APU’s) have been installed on all company
and owner-operator equipment, resulting in annual fuel savings of over
15,000 gallons of diesel. Conventional tires are being replaced with
fuel saving tires and company truck speeds are governed and monitored
closely. Testing alternative fuels like hydrogen and bio-diesel is another
part of Langford Inc’s environmental program.
With a firm belief in environmental issues, Langford’s office
staff and drivers are trained to lessen the amount of fuel used and
eliminate unnecessary idling.
