Supreme Carriers, Inc.
South Sioux City, NE

Number of employees:   23

Supreme Carriers is a small family-run trucking company that has been in business for over 30 years. Since 1975 the business has grown from one tractor and trailer, used to haul bagged wood shavings, to 16 tractors and three times as many trailers. Freight now ranges from perishable reefer loads to over-dimensional flat-bed freight being hauled from coast to coast in the U.S. and Canada.

With costs continually rising in every aspect of the trucking industry, Supreme Carriers is always looking to lower costs. Some of the most recent technologies that Supreme Carriers has utilized are:

  • Tractor aerodynamics
  • Single-wide tires
  • Automatic tire inflation systems
  • Synthetic lubricants
  • Speed governed at 63 mph

“Perhaps the greatest benefit of being a SmartWay Partner is that we can improve our fleet while cutting costs and all the while do it in a manner that is environmentally beneficial”

— Butch (Carroll) Muff, Jr. – President/Owner
