Tiger Transport, LLC
West Chester, Pennsylvania

Tiger Transport is a minority-owned and operated long-haul truckload carrier specializing in providing high security transportation services to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and high value shipping communities. With corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia, Tiger uses an advanced technology platform to cultivate customer-specific services. With a secure web-based operations center in southern Florida, Tiger specializes in the movement of information as well as goods in and out of the Northeastern United States.  Safety, security, visibility, and value are the keys that drive their customer service.

Tiger is committed to taking a leadership role in the protection of the environment by using the guidelines of the SmartWay Transport Partnership.  As a qualified carrier, Tiger is proud to share how they strive to operate an environmentally friendly fleet:

  • Operates 2007 and 2008 Freightliner Columbia Series Tractors with full factory wind-faring systems.
  • Trucks are set to shut off after idling for 10 minutes.
  • Trucks are equipped with an auto-shift system that optimizes shifting for fuel efficiency.
  • Tractors use a rechargeable battery operated nite bunk heating/cooling system for no-idle sleeper berth time.
  • Tractor and trailers utilize Michelin X-One series tires, equipped with run-flat for optimal tire balance.
  • Utility 4000 DX 53 ft. dry vans are equipped with an auto-tire pressure monitoring maintenance system.
  • Utilizes the PeopleNet PerformX Solution to remotely retrieve key engine operating information such as idle time, with driver incentives for exceptional performance.
  • Electronic toll and scale passes help maintain speed which is capped at 65 mph.
  • Tiger pays for driver access to Idle-Air facilities to eliminate idle time on the 34 hour reset.
  • Tiger takes time every day to encourage fuel management responsibility, reward good behavior and coach underachievers.

“Understanding that the main driver components of idle time are speed, shift, and idle, we implemented technologies to take those factors out of the drivers' hands.  Our technology allows us to monitor driver behavior and provide feedback immediately. We take very seriously our commitment to making the world a better place for our children. We are very proud to be a SmartWay Partner and our customers are proud to do business with us because of it.”
