Become a GreenChill Partner
Attention component manufacturers and service technicians:
Although the GreenChill Partnership is currently open only to food retailers, advanced refrigeration system manufacturers, and non-ozone-depleting commercial refrigerant manufacturers; GreenChill recognizes the critical part component manufacturers and service technicians play in the effort to reduce emissions of ozone depleting substances and greenhouse gases. For more information on how you can get involved in GreenChill, visit our component manufacturer and service technician page.
Who Can Join
The GreenChill Partnership focuses on food retailers including supermarkets, grocery stores, supercenters, and wholesale clubs. To be eligible to join the partnership, a food retailer must:
- Emit either ozone-depleting or greenhouse gas refrigerants
- Be willing to reduce refrigerant emissions
- Have no involvement with Clean Air Act enforcement
The partnership also welcomes manufacturers of Advanced Refrigeration Systems (Secondary Loop & Distributed) and non-ozone-depleting commercial refrigerant manufacturers.
How to Join
To join GreenChill, an authorized representative of the prospective Partner Company must agree to and sign a GreenChill Partnership Agreement. The agreement outlines the Partnership’s goals and the responsibilities that each partner must meet. These goals and responsibilities vary slightly, depending on the partner. Once EPA completes its enforcement screening and the Partnership Agreement is countersigned by an EPA representative, the new Partner is admitted into the Partnership.
For more information about joining the GreenChill Partnership and to receive a Standard Partnership Agreement, please contact Keilly Witman at witman.keilly@epa.gov or 202-343-9742.
