MVAC Refrigerants Fitting Sizes & Label Colors
These fittings and labels must be used with alternative refrigerants when used in motor vehicle air conditioning systems. For more details, see EPA's fact sheet Choosing and Using Alternative Refrigerants for Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning.
This list includes all refrigerants found acceptable subject to use conditions in motor vehicle air conditioning as of March 29, 2011.

Label Colors
To comply with the conditions on the use of motor vehicle refrigerants, a detailed label must be applied that features a unique background color. This table summarizes the colors chosen for the refrigerants listed as of June 3, 1997.
