Files Related to Food Portion of the Revised Cumulative Risk Assessment

This page contains brief descriptions and links to downloadable files used in OPP’s Revised OP Food Cumulative Assessment.
 The following paragraphs provide descriptions and downloadable linkages to files that are associated with the OP cumulative assessment for foods.  These files are in ZIP Format and require a decompression utility such as Stuffit or Winzip. The files are provided as-is and without guarantee. The documents may not be fully accessible using assistive technology. Description of files
OPCRA-DEEM-input.zip contains DEEM-FCID input files that were used for estimation of cumulative OP residues on food.
- There are 600 residue distribution (*.rdf) files. These are text files that contain cumulative residue distributions for foods.  With the exception of some of the apple food forms, they are named according to the food code and food form code from DEEM version 7 (i.e., 1311.rdf contains the cumulative residue distribution for grapes, raw. 13=grapes; 11=uncooked). Each file contains summary source information as a header.
- RDF-summary.csv is a spreadsheet, in comma delimited text form, which summarizes the content of the rdf files.
- OPCRA.R98 is the input file that is necessary for estimating the cumulative food exposure using DEEM-FCID. It contains all of the appropriate input parameters, including either residue values or pointers to residue distribution files (rdf files). It should be noted that pointers are not included for all of the rdf files included in this collection. This is because of redundancies that occurred in some of the distributions for closely related food forms and translations from earlier forms to DEEM to DEEM-FCID.  To use an earlier version of DEEM a new data-input file will have to be built, which is specific for the version of DEEM being used. The rdf files and summary spreadsheet provided here can be used for residue inputs in such an analysis.
OPCRA-DEEM-output.zip contains two DEEM-FCID output (result) files from estimation of cumulative OP residues on food.
Baseline-OPCRA.AC7 is a text file that contains summary data on exposure distributions for 4 output distributions:
o Children 1-2 years
o Children 3-5
o Adults 20-49 years
o Adults 50+ years
Baseline-opcra.plt is a text file that contains complete exposure distributions for 4 output distributions
CumulativeFoodDatabase.zip contains OP-Cumulative-Food.mdb, which is a Microsoft Access 2000 Database. This database contains all of the source data that were used in estimating the cumulative OP residues on food commodities. Briefly, the major data tables are as follows:
- OPs-94-99:Â Â A table of PDP residue data (also see OPs-94-99-Supp for more PDP data). These tables contain PDP sample and analytical data for OP pesticide residues from the years 1994 through 2000.
- Master-PF1: Â A table of processing factors used in adjusting residue values for processed foods. The absence of a factor for a given food/chemical combination indicates that there is no registered use being supported for that combination or that no residue are found in the database.
- RPF: A table of all relative potency factors and FQPA factors for OP pesticides in food.
- Bridge Table 9-18: A table of translations that link PDP residue data to various food forms.
- Other data tables are self-explanatory
- Several queries have been saved in the database. The most important ones are found in the following forms (The underlying queries, etc. can be explored by examining the forms in design mode):
- Form 1: Can be used to estimate cumulative residue distributions for foods on an individual basis.
- Form 2: Cumulative residue distributions can be calculated and output to text files on a batch basis. The text files are formatted for direct input into DEEM. The user must designate a valid directory for storing the RDF files before attempting to run the batch process.
Please note that this database was designed as a tool for use within the Agency and is being provided to the public on an as is basis. The queries, macros, and code modules contained therein were developed by the Agency for internal use in Microsoft Access and were generated as part of the development and analysis of the inputs to the DEEM program. Although the complete set of data and tools (in the form of queries, macros, and code) is being made available to the public for their use and scrutiny, it is being placed on the website with the understanding that those individuals without  training or experience with MS Access or databases in general may not be able to fully utilize all the material or reliably duplicate or reproduce OPP’s results.
There are seven regions of residential input files contained in the opcra-calendex-input.zip file. These residential input files were used to estimate residential oral, inhalation, and dermal routes of exposure. Regions A, B, C, D, E, F, and G are represented by the use of Calendex format input files.

These files consist of a chemical application/treatment exposure file (with a suffix .AGX).

The exposure file requires a corresponding contact file (with a suffix .SCN) and a corresponding residue file (with a .SRS) for each route of exposure being estimated.

These exposure files are combined using a master Calendex file (with a suffix .AGM).

There is a master Calendex file for each region; therefore there are seven master files.

These seven master files, which are zipped separately with each of the required contact, residue and exposure files, were used for each population subgroup exposure estimation (i.e., there is only one master file for each region which was used for 1-2, 3-5, 20-49 and 50-110 year old subgroups.)
