Radon-Resistant New Construction (RRNC)

To complete the Builder Directory qualification process, you must complete all of the following:

Answer the three questions (1-3) below

Accept the five agreement statements (4-8) below

Fill in your contact information (9-15) (Company Name, Name of Contact Person, Phone Number, and Contact E-mail are required)

Read the General Terms and Disclaimers (16)

Click the SIGN UP FOR THE DIRECTORY button (17) at the bottom of the page to submit your information

Please select which RRNC building code specification you use. To be included in the Builder’s Directory, you must verify that you use the approved or recommended RRNC techniques. These techniques are included in ASTM E1465-08, International Residential Code (IRC) Appendix F, National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA 5000), or other (i.e. state code). I have built homes with RRNC within the past 12 months. (Note: To register for the RRNC Builder Directory, you need to have built at least one home using RRNC.

General Statements of Agreement to Qualify for the Directory

I understand that EPA does not endorse, promote, or support any individual enterprise, product, or service. The information on the Directory pages is provided as a public service.
I understand that by being listed in the Directory, I am agreeing to allow EPA to post the following information about my company on its Web site for public use: name of company, service areas where homes are available, company phone number, and Web site. Please agree to terms above.
I will give the buyer a Features Checklist (PDF, 1 page, 211 K, about PDF) specifying the RRNC features built into the home. Please agree to terms above.

General Terms and Disclaimers
- The company listed in the Directory will not construe, claim, or imply that its participation in EPA's RRNC Builder Directory constitutes federal government approval, acceptance, or endorsement of anything other than the commitment of the company listed to build houses using EPA-recommended radon-resistant new construction techniques. Being listed in the Directory does not constitute federal government endorsement of the company listed or its houses or services.
- The company listed understands that the activities it undertakes in connection with EPA's RRNC Builder Directory are voluntary and not intended to provide services to the federal government. As such, the company listed will not submit a claim for compensation to any federal agency.
- The company listed and EPA will assume good faith as a general principle for resolving conflict and will seek to resolve all matters informally, so as to preserve maximum public confidence in EPA's RRNC Builder Directory.
- This agreement is voluntary and can be terminated by either party at any time for any reason, with no penalty.
- Failure to comply with any of the terms of qualification can result in the listed company’s termination and cessation of access to the benefits of EPA’s RRNC Builder Directory.
- In marketing and promotional brochures, signage, or Web pages produced by a company listed in the Directory, EPA permits the company listed to use the following language: “Listed in EPA’s Builder Directory for Radon-Resistant New Construction (RRNC).” This agreement does not allow a builder to use the EPA seal or logo on its Web site or other promotional materials.

I don't qualify to be listed in the directory, what can I do?

We'd like to help your company qualify for the Directory of Builders Using Radon-Resistant New Construction Techniques. Let us work with your company to help you learn about and incorporate the basic RRNC techniques. EPA has many no-cost educational and technical resources that you can use. I'd like more information on RRNC.
