Metro Philadelphia Industry Partnership
Industry Partnerships challenge locally-based businesses and industry to voluntarily reduce emissions of toxic pollutants in cooperation with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and other interested stakeholders. Participating Industry Partners are committed to reducing routine hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) emissions and decreasing accidental releases in the communities in which they operate. Industry Partners will accomplish these goals by fostering communication through an exchange of ideas and technology awareness among the community, industry and government.
Currently, the Partners are focusing on reducing energy consumption as well as voluntarily reducing air toxic emissions through pollution prevention efforts.
Industry and business are part of a larger community – a community of schools, residences, playing fields, churches, hospitals. Industry and business should strive to be good corporate citizens and good neighbors by performing to the highest environmental standards. Partners will also realize significant economic benefits through the employment of pollution prevention, environmental management systems and more efficient use of materials and resources.
