Site Description

The Marinace Pesticide Site involved a possioble misapplication of pesticides which resulted int he perticide Bendiocarb being exposed to the environment.

Site Responsibility

This site is being addressed by an EPA Superfund Removal Action.

Threats and Contaminants

Bendiocarb, which contains the active ingredient Ficam, was found on the outside of the home, and posed a release to the environment.

Cleanup Progress

EPA performed a time-critical removal which involved decontaminating the exposed areas of the residence. This decontamination involved a triple was and rinse to remove the residual pesticide. Post-sampling results showed no detectable levels of Bendiocarb.
