Over the next several weeks, Calvert County area residents may notice helicopter flights taking off and landing at the Calvert County Fairgrounds, where the Swanson Creek oil spill cleanup command center is now located. Daily helicopter flights over the Patuxent River areas aid in the cleanup efforts.
These flights will only be made during daylight hours. We appreciate the community's patience as we continue monitoring and directing the response effort.
