Connecticut Manufacturer Sentenced for Clean Water Violations

News Story Graphic Phoenix Products Co., of Terryville, Conn., was sentenced and will pay a cash penalty of $150,000 for knowingly discharging a pollutant into the Town of Plymouth sewer system, violating the federal Clean Water Act. The Company pleaded guilty to the charge on January 4, 2010.

Massachusetts Releases $185 Million in Recovery Funds for Water Infrastructure Upgrades

News Story Graphic As part of the Patrick-Murray Administration’s Massachusetts Recovery Plan, Governor Deval Patrick and members of the congressional delegation today released $185 million in federal recovery funds for water infrastructure improvement projects. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants and State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing will support statewide construction projects worth nearly $800 million, maintaining and creating thousands of jobs across Massachusetts.
