EJ is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies. Fair treatment means that no group of people, including a racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic group, should bear a disproportionate share of the negative environmental consequences resulting from industrial, municipal, and commercial operations or the execution of federal, state, local, and tribal programs and policies. Refer to the Environmental Justice Page page for additional information.

- For industrial equipment modifications or purchases, identify the affected processes, media, and waste streams or discharges, and include a technical description of the work that will need to be performed.
- For environmental restoration, public health, and environmental justice projects, identify any initiatives or other Federal projects that are related to the project, if known, as well as any third party organizations that would be involved in implementing the project. Describe any community input processes that have already been undertaken or that have been contemplated.
- Environmental Benefits For industrial projects,

pollutant reduction that will result from the project or a description
of the benefit to the general public or the environment. Describe the
procedures that would be used to verify the environmental benefits achieved
(e.g., stack test, sampling, monitoring data, etc.). For other
projects, describe the environmental or public health benefits that
will result from the project, quantified as much as possible (e.g.,
number of acres of wetland available for restoration, size of population
at risk that will be helped by the project, etc.).
- Cost of Project To the extent known, provide
an estimated budget for the project.
- Projected Savings to Violator If possible, estimate the savings to the violator that will result from the project, if any, including and estimation of the payback period (i.e., the time that it will take for the company to recoup the cost of the project through the savings that it achieves as a result of the project).
