AIR POLLUTION CONTROL STANDARDS
STANDARD NO. 3
EMISSIONS FROM INCINERATORS
All incinerators shall operate within the following emission
limitations:
A. Particulates in the flue gas discharged into the atmosphere
shall not exceed 0.5 pounds per million BTU of heat input to the
incinerator, excluding auxiliary fuel.
B. Emissions shall not produce smoke which exceeds twenty (20)
percent opacity for an aggregate of more than six (6) minutes in
any one hour or twenty-four (24) minutes in a twenty-four hour
period.
C. Odors from the incinerator shall be reduced to such a level as
not to create an undesirable level.
D. Emissions shall not contain individual particles which are
sufficiently large as to be visible as individual particles at
the emission point or are of such size and nature as to be
visible individually as incandescent particles. This requirement
shall only apply if such particles fall on real property other
than that of the person responsible for the emission.
