In 2001, we are celebrating 31 years of recognizing New Englanders for their outstanding contributions on behalf of New England's environment. Established in 1970, recognition has been given to scientists, teachers, journalists, citizen activists, young people, organizations, business representatives, public officials, and others committed to preserving and nurturing our natural surroundings.
