Waste Site Cleanup & Reuse in New England
One Financial Center Suspicious Package Incident
On April 20, 2009, EPA received notification through the National Response Center (NRC #904228) that a suspicious package was delivered and white powder was released at 1 Financial Center in Boston, MA. Local Hazmat crews from the Boston Fire Department (BFD) and Boston Police Department (BPD) responded to the incident. The Hazmat crews set up decontamination and quarantined exposed employees. EPA offered assistance; however, BFD declined the offer. EPA monitored the incident.
