Acknowledgements

Many people and organizations made this indicator report possible. They include an array of public agencies, non-profits and academic researchers. Indicator data were collected and analyzed, using standard quantitative protocols to ensure that the results were valid and replicable. Data collection was also greatly amplified by traditional ecological knowledge, or TEK, which provides linkages with our past from observation, traditions and oral traditions from elders. Please refer to the technical documents associated with each indicator for further information regarding quality assurance and peer-reviewed research.

This transboundary indicators project was supported by the following contributors: Puget Sound Action Team; Washington State Department of Ecology; Environment Canada, Georgia Basin Action Plan; U.S. EPA, National Estuary and Regional Geographic Initiative Programs
