EPA's approval of 1990 CO base year emission inventory and maintenance
plan were effective on February 5, 1996.
State Submittal:
SIP revision dated November 15, 1992, November 21, 1994 and September
28, 1995
Affected Areas:
Statewide 1990 CO base year emission inventory.
Maintenance plan for Camden County and nine "Not Classified"
CO nonattainment areas: the City of Trenton, the City of Burlington, the
Borough of Penns Grove (part), the Borough of Freehold, the City of Morristown,
the City of Perth Amboy, the City of Toms River and the Borough of Somerville.
Summary:
EPA is approving the 1990 CO base year emission inventory for the entire
state and approving the CO maintenance plan, including contingency measure
for Camden County and nine "not classified" CO nonattainment
areas. The contingency measures included transportation control measures
which cover traffic flow improvements, park & ride lots, and increased
ridesharing. With these approvals, New Jersey met all requirements for
redesignating these areas to attainment.
