New York Ozone SIP: Clean Fuel Fleet Opt Out; Adoption of a Low Emission Vehicle Program

EPA Approval Date:
EPA's approval of the Low Emission Vehicle Program in lieu of the light duty vehicle portion of the Clean Fuel Fleet Program was effective on March 7, 1995.

State Submittal:
SIP revision dated May 15, 1994 and August 9, 1994.

New York City Metropolitan Area

Summary:
These revisions were intended to satisfy the Clean Air Act requirement to submit a Clean Fuel Fleet program or a substitute program. New York substituted a Low Emission Vehicle Program for the light duty vehicle portion of the Clean Fuel Fleet Program.

Part 218, "Emission Standards for Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Engines".
