EPA Announces Regional Administrator for Region 2

Today, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson announced President Barack Obama’s selection of Judith Enck to be the Agency’s Regional Administrator for EPA’s region 2. "I look forward to working closely with Judith Enck on the range of urgent environmental issues we face, in region 2 and across the nation," said Lisa Jackson.

EPA Announces Environmental Justice Showcase Communities

EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson announced a national initiative to address environmental justice challenges in 10 communities. EPA has committed $1 million to this effort over the next two years. The North Shore of Staten Island, in New York City, was among the communities chosen to participate.
