Did you know?

This EPA Region 4 Energy and Climate Change website provides general information about existing clean and sustainable energy options, research on clean and sustainable energy technologies, climate change-related rulemakings, and other topics related to clean energy and climate change.

Background

The Federal government and its state and local partners administer a wide array of programs to help reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and our dependence on foreign energy sources. These programs focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy, methane and other non-carbon dioxide (non-CO2) gases, agricultural practices and implementation of technologies to achieve greenhouse gas reductions. EPA implements several voluntary programs that substantially contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. On this website, you can learn about these and other national and regional activities, including information about new and developing greenhouse gas rulemakings.
